Conclusion of the “I am a Moroccan citizen” project


Mohammed El Nos, the executive manager of the “I am a Morrocan citizen” project, has confirmed that the project has achieved success rates between 90% and 130% of the project’s success indicators. He also added, In a speech to present the outcome of the project’s activities in Marrakech on Sunday 25th December 2011, that the number of direct beneficiaries have exceeded 300 of both genders, and the number of indirect beneficiaries have reached up to 6000 Belonging to the cities of Marrakesh and Essaouira and Ibn Jarir.

Since the launch of the project in January 2011, the participants have managed to strengthen Reconciliation of their national reality through a number of youthful activities that reflects the spirit of responsible citizenship Such as the upgrading of national values ​​in training workshops, and positive interaction with a series of “citizenship cafes” and produce images and videos promoting responsible citizenship behaviors.

The closing ceremony was distinguished with a balanced attendance of the various partners of the program, Local public , regional and national figures expressing their desire to participate with AS.U.E.E.J in future projects to benefit the youth of Marrakech Tensift El Haouz.

The closing ceremony saw trainers, partners and participants winning prizes including cash prizes especially the winners of the best images and videos promoting responsible citizenship behaviors.

It’s worth mentioning that the program “I am a Moroccan citizen”  which was launched during January 2011 was supported by the Middle East Partnership Initiative  MEPI and with the co-operation of the Regional Academy for Education and Training in the region of Marrakesh Tensift El Haouz and Delegation of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Marrakesh and Regional Cooperation National coordinate, and in coordination with Arab foundation for Development and Citizenship.
