Arab societies still suffer from massive violations of political and civil rights, economic and social rights, or both combined, despite the presence of many non governmental organisations that work in this field.

Despite the presence of thousands of organisations of civil society in the Arab world, with regards to human rights only a limited number of these play a vital role in human rights education.  However, their limited number is often an obstacle to convene the needs of Arab communities.

At AFDC, we believe that the Arab World could use more dedicated civil society organisations which do not lack credibility and institutionalism, taking into consideration the amount of work such organisations need to succeed.
