The Arab Foundation for Development & Citizenship (AFDC) has finished its training program in Cairo by training 40 young Egyptian men and women on the values of “Responsible Citizenship”, which is being implemented in cooperation with ICTIDAR; a UNDP program and MEPI.
The training program was carried out over two workshops that lasted for 3 days each.
Mr. Elhossien Mahmoud who was the main trainer at the workshops said “these workshops come as part of AFDC’s program to empower Arab Youth in the field of responsible citizenship in a way that places emphasis on their responsibility towards their community and society.”
Participants of the workshops have presented project ideas that can be implemented by Arab Youth in their local communities. AFDC will be supporting Arab youth to implement these projects.
Over the last 8 months AFDC has carried out 10 workshops as part of this project in Lebanon, Tunisia, Morocco and Egypt.
